Safari Planning Questions
Find answers to common questions about planning your Kenyan adventure
The best time for safaris is during the dry seasons: January to March and June to October. The Great Migration in Maasai Mara typically occurs from July to October. However, Kenya offers incredible wildlife viewing year-round.
Most travelers require a visa, which can be obtained online through Kenya's eCitizen portal. A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required if traveling from an endemic country. We recommend consulting with your healthcare provider for other recommended vaccinations.
Our packages typically include accommodation, meals as specified, park entry fees, game drives in safari vehicles with pop-up roofs, services of a professional guide/driver, and airport transfers. Some packages also include internal flights or special activities.
Safety is our top priority. Our guides are trained in first aid and wildlife safety, vehicles are regularly maintained and insured, and we follow all safety protocols. We maintain constant communication with lodges and park authorities throughout your journey.
Absolutely. We work closely with our lodge and camp partners to accommodate all dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, and halal. Please inform us of any restrictions during booking.
We use custom-built 4x4 safari vehicles with pop-up roofs for optimal game viewing. Our fleet includes Toyota Land Cruisers and Land Rovers, all equipped with first aid kits, coolers for drinks, and charging ports.
Yes! We specialize in family safaris with child-friendly accommodations, activities, and flexible schedules. Many lodges offer family suites, children's programs, and age-appropriate game viewing activities.
We recommend booking 6-12 months in advance for peak season (July-October) and 3-6 months for other times. Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible, but availability for premium lodges can be limited.
Absolutely! Our Safari+Beach packages are very popular. We can combine any safari with coastal stays in Diani, Watamu, or Malindi. We handle all internal transfers between destinations seamlessly.
We offer flexible cancellation policies. Full refunds are available for cancellations made more than 60 days before departure. Between 30-60 days, we offer 75% refund. Within 30 days, terms vary by lodge/airline policies. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
